Same frog clip as the standard rope leash, with a second padded handle sewn in close to the clip. That short handle is the reason to buy this one. Grab it and your dog is at your knee in an instant, without shortening the whole leash or wrapping it around your fist.

What matters on this one

Point 01

The traffic handle

The lower loop sits near the collar. Crossing a road, passing another dog, walking past a cyclist: you take the short handle, keep the dog beside you, then let go and the leash is full length again. Trainers call it a traffic handle for a reason.

Point 02

Aviation aluminium clip

The frog clip is anodised aluminium alloy, the same design used across the GEIT leash range. It locks under load and releases with thumb pressure.

Point 03

Stitched reflective on both sides

Reflective thread is sewn along both faces of the webbing rather than printed on top, which is the part that tends to survive being dragged along kerbs and wet grass.

Picking the right one

This is the leash for a dog that pulls or a route with traffic on it. For a calm dog on quiet paths the single-handle rope version does the same job for less.

  • Buy it for pulling, kerbs, vets and lifts.
  • Skip it for a settled dog on quiet paths.
  • The traffic grip sits a few inches above the clip.
